Don Julian Adams

Don J. Adams, 80, of 248 Rockhouse Road, Johnson City, died Friday, June 6, 2008 at the James H. Quillen Veterans Affairs Medical Center. He was a native of Johnson City, son of the late Walter Homer and Thelma Letha Stanley Adams. Don was retired chief technician for Sammons Communications. He was of the Baptist faith. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Edna Adams Stout, a brother, Billy Joe Adams and a great grandchild and a niece, Angela Joy Stout Benson. Survivors include: four daughters, Patricia Adams Pitts of Johnson City, Donna Adams Casteel of Johnson City, Robin Renee Adams of Johnson City and Marianne Adams Taylor of Surfside Beach, South Carolina; a son, Michael Lynn Adams of Johnson City; nine grandchildren and four great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.A graveside service is scheduled for Tuesday, June 10, 2008 at 11:30 a.m. in the Highland Cemetery, under the direction of Rev. Lenny Smith. The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. until time to leave in procession to the cemetery from Morris '' Baker Funeral Home at 11:00 a.m. Pallbearers will be selected from family members.
