Donald E. Jackson

Donald E. Jackson, 76, Johnson City, died Wednesday, December 26, 2012, at the James H. Quillen VA Medical Center. Mr. Jackson was a native and life long resident of Johnson City and a son of the late William Johnson and Sarah Elizabeth Head Jackson. He was an active member of First Freewill Baptist Church. In addition to his parents, Mr. Jackson was preceded in death by: his wife, Janet Carol Jackson; four brothers, William, Bob, Jim, and Dave Jackson; and sister, Mary Byrd. Survivors include: daughters, Sheila Marie Edwards, and her husband, Daniel, Johnson City, and Trishia Jackson, Texas; three brothers, Jack and Ernest 'Mouse'? Jackson, both of Johnson City, and Kyle Jackson, of North Carolina; two grandsons, Justin and Emmett King, both of Georgia; two granddaughters, Crystal Cline and Sarah Lindsey, both of Johnson City; eight great-grandchildren, Johnny, Alicia, and Natalie Cline, and Jacob, Lance, Tatum, and Elizabeth Lindsey, all of Johnson City, and Max Lindsey, Elizabethton; and several nieces and nephews. The family of Donald E. Jackson will receive friends from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM Sunday at Morris-Baker Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow at 2:00 PM Sunday in the Morris-Baker South Chapel. Pastor Tony Trott will officiate. Pallbearers will be: Daniel Edwards, Garrett Lindsey, Bo Cline, Tim Campbell, Eddie White, and Buddy Blankenship. Following the funeral services, family and friends will proceed to Washington County Memory Gardens for graveside services.
