Mrs. Doris D. Carroll, of Johnson City, died Monday, July 23, 2012, at NHC of Johnson City. A native of Sullivan County, she was the daughter of the late Dewey and Anna Combs Noe. Doris retired from Red Lobster after 21 years and was a member of Hawthorne Church of the Brethren. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Stanley P. Carroll, Sr.; sister Wilma Blevins; and two half brothers, Jimmy Ray and Howard Mack McQueen. She is survived by her son, Stanley Carroll, Jr., and wife Darlene; daughter, Sandra Barrett and husband Stephen, all of Johnson City; sister Joyce Gilley, of Jupiter, FL; grandchildren, Bradley Carroll, Alan, James, and Bobby Wexler, Rebecca Vaughn and husband Markus, and Doris Ann Crouch and husband Mike; nine great grandchildren; and one niece and several nephews. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff of NHC and Caris Hospice for the special care they gave Doris during her stay. The family will receive friends from 12:30-1:30 Thursday, July 26, 2012 at Morris Baker Funeral Home. Graveside services will immediately follow, at 2pm, at Mountain Home National Cemetery with Rev. Hollace Ford officiating.
