Dorothy B. Jenkins, 92, of Bluff City, died Thursday, April 4, 2013 at the Johnson City Medical Center. Mrs. Jenkins was a native and lifelong resident of Bluff City and a daughter of the late Robert and Lilly Cox Baker. She was a retired employee of the Univac Corporation. Mrs. Jenkins was a lifelong member of Chinquapin Grove Baptist Church, Bluff City. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by: her husband, James Clifton Jenkins; four brothers, William C., Elbert, Howard, and Garnet Baker; and two sisters, Pauline Mottern and Cordia Trinkle. Survivors include: daughter, Shirley J. OConnor, Bluff City; son, Charles R. Jenkins, and his wife Rachael, Bluff City; four grandchildren, Gail Underwood, and her husband Kent, Piney Flats, Camille Painter, Bluff City, Abigail Underwood, Piney Flats, and Ben and Sarah Underwood, Piney Flats; and many nieces and nephews. The family of Dorothy B. Jenkins will receive friends from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Sunday at Morris-Baker Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow at 8:00 PM in the Morris-Baker South Chapel with Pastor Jamie Ferguson and Pastor Elbert Nichols officiating. Graveside services will be conducted 12:00 PM Monday in the Chinquapin Grove Baptist Church Cemetery. Family and friends are asked to meet at the cemetery by 11:50 AM for those services.
