Mrs. Dorothy Lynn Wine, 76, 136 Wine Road, Gray, passed away Saturday, June 12, 2010 at her residence after a long illness. She was surrounded by her devoted family. Mrs. Wine was a native of Sullivan County who had lived most of her life in Gray. She was the daughter of the late Charlie Alexander Lynn and Dorothy Lee Ford Lynn. In addition to her birth parent loving parents Sam and Gladys Lynn; three sisters, Martha Lynn, Viola Adams and Katie Weaver; one brother, Fred Lynn also preceded her in death. Mrs. Wine was a homemaker and a member of Boones Creek Christian Church. Before joining Boones Creek Christian Church, she was a member of Hales Chapel Christian Church for many years. There she served as Sunday School Secretary and was a member of the Choir. Survivors include: her loving husband of fifty-six years, Billy Joe; two sons, David Wine and his wife Kathi of Gray and George Wine and his wife Karen of Gray; three daughters, Phyllis Potter and her husband Ron of Cleveland, Tn., Gladys Deremer and her husband Dan of Seymour, Tn. and Martha Love and her husband Jimmy of Gray; two sisters-in-laws, Betty Light of Gray and Evelyn Bowman of Bowmantown; special Aunt, Gracie Ammons; six grandchildren, Scott Wine and his wife Bridgett, Drew Wine, Amber Montgomery and her husband Clayton, Amy Deremer, LCPL Benjamin Deremer and Annie Love. The family would like to thank the nurses and staff of Johnson City Medical Center and Amedisys Home Health Services for their compassionate care. The funeral service for Mrs. Dorothy Lynn Wine will be conducted at 7 PM Monday, June 14, 2010 at Boones Creek Christian Church. David Clark, Minister, Pastor Ed Hayes and Dick Morris, Minister will officiate. A service of entombment will be conducted at 10 AM Tuesday in the Washington County Memory Gardens. Active pallbearers will be: Scott Wine, Drew Wine, Ron Potter, Dan Deremer, Jimmy Love and Clayton Montgomery. Honorary pallbearers will be: LCPL Benjamin Deremer, Jim Slagle, Richard 'Pee Wee'? Hall, Benji Bowman, Stephen Wine, Bruce Wine, Curtis Sauls and G. Clinton Andrews. Ministers, family and friends are requested to meet at the funeral home by 9:15 AM Tuesday to go in procession. The family will receive friends Monday from 5 to 7 PM prior to the service.
