Dorothy Wise

Dorothy Hamilton Wise, died Wednesday, April 22, 2009 at the Appalachian Christian Village. She was a native of Sullivan County, daughter of the late Robert Lee and Virgie Mae Cox Hamilton. Dorothy was a member of the Munsey Memorial United Methodist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert L. Wise in 1988; also four brothers, Robert N., Charles F., William E. and Howard Hamilton. Survivors include: two sisters-in-law, Audrey Hamilton of Elizabethton and Bella Hamilton of Greeneville; a niece and her husband, Carole and Stephen Crowe of Johnson City; six nephews and their wives, Robert C. and Cissy Hamilton of Talbot, David and Bobbie Hamilton of Fort Payne, Thomas E. and Annelle Hamilton of Charlotte, NC, James P. and Linda Hamilton of Marion, NC, Gregory and Katie Hamilton of Knoxville, Randy and Lori Hamilton of Piney Flats; numerous great nieces and great nephews. A graveside service is scheduled for Saturday, April 25, 2009 at 1:00 p.m. in the Monte Vista Memorial Park, under the direction of Rev. Bob Edmonds. Pallbearers will be her nephews. There will be no public visitation. Family and friends are asked to assemble at the cemetery. Memorials may be made in the form of contributions to the Munsey Memorial United Methodist Church, 201 E. Market Street, Johnson City, TN 37601.
