Drew Bill Johnson, 78, of Johnson City, died Monday, at the Johnson City Medical Center. He was a native of Johnson City, son of the late Spence and Mary Simerly Johnson. Drew Bill was a retired manager of Dairy and Frozen Foods for Winn-Dixie Corporation. He was a past Master of the Rhea Masonic Lodge and Past Potentate of the Jericho Shrine Club and a 32nd Degree Mason. He also was a member of Fairhaven United Methodist Church. In addition to his parents, a brother, Sheller Johnson and a sister, Veronia Miller preceded him in death. Left to survive his memory, his wife of 55 years, Betty J. Arnold Johnson of the home; his son, Drew S. and Meah Johnson, also of the home; two cousins, Stella Francis and Hazel Francis; an uncle, Grady Johnson; several nieces and nephews; special friends, Barbara and Bill Adams; his special pet, Shellie and his extended family and friends at the Riverside RV Park in Sevierville. The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm until 7:00 pm on Thursday, July 9, 2015 in the Dogwood Chapel at Morris-Baker Funeral Home. A funeral service is scheduled for 7:00 pm under the direction of Pastor Lenny Smith. Special music is to be provided by Patsy Leach. A committal service will be conducted on Friday, July 10, 2015. Active pallbearers will be selected from family and friends. All those attending are asked to assemble at the funeral home to leave in procession by 12:40pm on Friday to go to Monte Vista Memorial Park for the service at 1:00 pm. Memorials may be made in the form of contributions to: Shriners Hospitals for Children, 12502 USF Pine Drive, Tampa, FL 33612-9411.
