Mr. Ed Lee Hill, 69, of Telford, went home to be with the Lord Wednesday, September 24, 2014, after a lengthy illness. Mr. Hill was a native of Buladean, North Carolina who had lived most of his life in Johnson City. He was the son of the late Frank and Darlie Street Hill. Mr. Hill retired from East Tennessee Tile and Marble after forty years of service. He was of the Freewill Baptist faith. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Robert Hill; three sons, Randy Phillips, David Phillips and Timmy Hill. Survivors include his loving wife of twenty-eight years, Tresia White Hill; three daughters, Sandra Clawson and her husband Doug, Tammy Jarvis and Tammy Laws; one son, David Crubbs; three brothers, J.C Hill, Ronald Hill and Jr. Hill; one special adopted son of Telford Curtis Chase; sixteen grandchildren; fifteen great grandchildren; several aunts, uncles and cousins; his special dog Bear. The family of Mr. Ed Lee Hill will receive friends from 5 to 8 PM Saturday, September 27, 2014, in the Morris-Baker South Chapel. The funeral service will follow at 8 PM with Rev. Terry Jones and Rev. Bill Greer officiating. Ron Barnett will provide music. The graveside committal service will be conducted at 2 PM Sunday, in the Oak Hill Cemetery, Johnson City. Active pallbearers will be selected from family, friends and coworkers. Minister, family and friends are requested to meet at the funeral home by 1:15 PM Sunday to go in procession to the cemetery.
