Edgar Lee Presnell

Edgar Lee 'Ed' Presnell, Sr., 71, of 2900 W. Market Street, Johnson City passed away Tuesday, January 24, 2006 in the Johnson City Medical Center. Mr. Presnell was a native and lifelong resident of Johnson City and was a son of Margaret Mast Crawford and the late Lee Presnell. He was retired from Flea Marketing and Wholesaling. Mr. Presnell was of the Baptist faith. He is preceded in death by his father and his loving wife, Lou Little Presnell in May 1997. Survivors include: five sons and daughters-in-law, Eddie and Robin Presnell of Elizabethton, David and Linda Presnell of Johnson City, Charles Presnell of Johnson City, Robert and Regina Presnell of Bluff City and Kenneth Presnell of the home; one daughter and son-in-law, Kimberly and Ronnie Martin of Arizona; two sisters, Mary Greene and Ruth Belcher, both of North Carolina; one brother, Johnny Presnell of North Carolina; seven grandsons and many nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles. A graveside funeral service for Edgar Lee 'Ed' Presnell, Sr. will be conducted Saturday, January 28, 2006 at 2 PM in the Washington County Memory Gardens. Rev. Willie Campbell will officiate. The family will receive friends at the Morris-Baker Funeral Home from 12 Noon to 1 PM Saturday .The procession will then leave the funeral home to go to the cemetery. Family and friends are also invited to visit the home of the mother, Margaret Crawford as well as the home of a son, David Presnell. Active pallbearers will be family and friends.
