Edith Keplinger

Mrs. Edith Keplinger, 97, of Johnson City, Tennessee, passed away at her residence on Tuesday, June 18, 2024.

Edith was born on May 15, 1927 in Hampton, Tennessee. She was the daughter of the late Earnest and Maybelle Barnett Crow. 

She worked at Klopman Mills for many years before she retired to become a full-time mother and homemaker.

Edith was truly a beautiful person, inside and out. She was selfless, kind, and someone who could light up any room with her loving smile. Above all else, the love that she has shown her family and friends will be felt forever in their hearts.

Along with her loving parents, Edith was preceded in death by: her beloved husband of 46 years, Carl Keplinger; three sisters, Marie Perry, Jane Calhoun, and Florence Robinette; and four brothers, Howard Crow, James “Jim” Crow, Alfred Crow, and Carl Crow.

Those remaining to cherish her memory include: two sons, Gerald (Sharon) Keplinger and Glen Keplinger; four grandchildren, Molly Keplinger, Kathryn Keplinger, Holly Knapp, and Wesley Keplinger; two great-grandchildren, Luke Chapell and Layla Keplinger; one sister, Shirley Matheson; one brother, Harry (Bea) Crow; and a dear friend, Mary McKee.

The family of Edith will receive friends from 6:00 pm till 7:00 pm on Monday, June 24, 2024 at Morris-Baker Funeral Home. The funeral service will begin at 7:00 pm following the visitation.

A committal service for Edith is scheduled for 10:00 am on Tuesday, June 25, 2024 at Monte Vista Memorial Park. Those wishing to attend are asked to meet at the cemetery by 9:50 am.
