Edward R. Loesch, 92, 509 E. Unaka Ave., died Saturday, February 24, 2007 at his residence. Mr. Loesch lived most of his life in Erie, PA before moving to Johnson City in 1993. He was a kind, humble and patient man, who will be missed by those who loved him. He was a son of the late Michael and Mary Bittel Loesch and was also preceded in death by his wife, Winifred Yochim Loesch; three brothers, Clifford Loesch, Donald Loesch and Gerald Loesch; one sister, Marie Loesch Berchtold and his stepmother, Lena Loesch. Mr. Loesch was a retired laborer. He was a former member of St. Peter?s Cathedral and attended Cathedral Catholic Prep School in Erie, PA. Mr. Loesch was a member of St. Mary?s Catholic Church. Survivors include one son, James E. Loesch, Columbia, MD; one daughter, Julianne Wiley and her husband, Donald, Johnson City; two grandsons, Benjamin Wiley and Vanya Wiley both of Johnson City and several nieces and nephews. A Mass of Christian Burial for Mr. Loesch will be celebrated at 7:30 pm Monday, February 26, 2007 at St. Mary?s Catholic Church. Father Anietie Akata will be the celebrant. Graveside services will be held at 10 am Tuesday at Monte Vista Memorial Park. Family and friends are asked to assemble at the cemetery. The family will receive friends Monday from 6:30 pm until service time in the church. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to St. Mary?s Catholic Church, 2211 East Lakeview Drive, Johnson City, TN 37601 or Johnson City Medical Center Hospice, 1807 W.
