Edwin 'Eddie'? Arwood, 66, of 147 Boone Avenue, Johnson City was promoted from this earthly life on Sunday, December 21, 2008 to be with his Heavenly Father after a courageous battle with cancer. He will spend this Christmas, the birthday of Christ, in heaven. Mr. Arwood was a native of Washington County, TN and a son of the late Edwin E. Arwood, Sr. and the late Mary Carmen Saylor Arwood. He was a route salesman with Pet Dairy with more then thirty-six years of devoted service. Mr. Arwood was a 1960 graduate of Boones Creek High School. He was an avid bass and striper fisherman on Boone Lake. Mr. Arwood was a beloved husband to his wife and a devoted father to his sons. He was of the Baptist faith. Survivors include: his loving wife, Judy Leonard Arwood of the home; three sons, David A. Arwood, Christopher S. Arwood and Mark A. and his wife Brandy Arwood, all of Johnson City; one sister and her husband, Linda and Randy Humphries of Jonesborough; one grandson and 'fishing buddy'?, William J. Arwood of Johnson City; and one nephew, Jeffrey Humphries of Jonesborough. The funeral service for Edwin 'Eddie'? Arwood will be conducted at 4 PM Friday, December 26, 2008 in the Morris-Baker South Chapel. Rev. James Cambron will officiate. Honorary pallbearers will be Sammy Susong, Roy Crane, Bob Bryant, and Tivis Montgomery. The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 PM Friday at Morris-Baker. In lieu of flowers, the family request that memorials be sent to the American Cancer Society, 508 Princeton Road, Suite 102, Johnson City, TN 37601 or to St. Jude Childrens Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-1942 The Arwood family would like to express their heartfelt appreciation to Amedisys Hospice Services of Elizabethton for their devoted, loving care of Mr. Arwood, and especially to Dawn.
