Elbert Lyndon Jones

Elbert Lyndon 'A.J.'? Jones, 47, of 122 Cedar Ridge Lane, Jonesborough, died Thursday, October 9, 2008 at the Johnson City Medical Center following a three year battle with cancer. He was a native of Goldsboro, North Carolina, son of Bobby G. Jones, Jr. and the late Emma Jane Ford Jones. A.J. was a mechanic and brake specialist on large trucks. He was a member of the Mercy Seat Ministries. Survivors include: his wife, Sheila V. Heath Jones of the home; a son, Elliot Dalton Jones of the home; his father, Bobby G. Jones, Jr. of Johnson City; a brother, Eldon Keith Jones of Bristol; two sisters, Deborah Jean Jones of Bristol and Donna Kay Richardson of Johnson City. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 11, 2008 at 4:00 p.m. at the Mercy Seat Ministries, under the direction of Elder Robert Manning, Tom Parrish and Doug Atkins. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in the form of contributions to the: Mercy Seat Ministries, 376 Bob Jobe Road, Kingsport, TN 37663.
