Elinor Rebecca “Becky” Milhorn Lewis, 94, Piney Flats, passed away Tuesday, January 3, 2023, at The Waters of Bristol, following a battle with dementia.
Becky was born in Vinton, VA to the late James and Kathrine Stanley Overstreet.
Becky was a member of Piney Flats Presbyterian Church since 1961. She worked at Kings Department Store, Nettie Lee Boys and Girls Shop and Sears.
Becky was a fantastic cook and could make anything. She also liked all kinds of music and loved to play the piano, which she learned to play by ear. She was a beautiful alto singer and sang in her church choir for many years.
In addition to her parents, Becky was preceded in death by: her first husband and father of her children, Sammy J. Milhorn; her second husband, John Lewis; five sisters; and one brother.
Survivors include: one son, David Milhorn (Ruth); one daughter, Kathy Hare (Frank); five grandchildren, Krista Ivester (Sam), Hank Hare (Beth), Andy Hare (Kelly), Jeff Milhorn (Elizabeth) and Leslie Morelock (Steven); twelve great grandchildren, Cole Ivester, Caleb Ivester (Tara), Carson Ivester, Alyssa White (Noah), Eric Hare, Jenna Hare, Luke Hare, Leah Hare, Levi Hare, Eli Milhorn, Manny Milhorn and Wiliam Alford; and one great great granddaughter on the way.
A graveside service will be held at 11 AM on Saturday, January 7, 2023, at New Bethel Church Cemetery with Dr. Robert Rainwater, pastor of Piney Flats Presbyterian Chruch, officiating. Family and friends are asked to meet at the graveside by 10:50 AM.
