Elizabeth Evelyn Riddle

Mrs. Elizabeth Evelyn Riddle, 86, of Johnson City, passed away Tuesday, September 9, 2014, in the Agape Nursing and Rehab, in Johnson City. Mrs. Riddle was a native and lifelong resident of Washington County. She was the daughter of the late John and Lela Hicks Bradley. Mrs. Riddle retired from Levi Strauss and was a member of Faith Tabernacle. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Len Riddle; one son, John Riddle; three sisters, Virginia Bradley, Maedell Tipton and Thelma Miller; two brothers, Albert Bradley and John T. Bradley. Mrs. Riddle loved to go to church and she enjoyed playing the piano and organ. She loved to plant flower gardens and she enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. Survivors include: two sons, Henry Riddle and his wife Wanda and David Riddle and his wife Laura; eight grandchildren, Wendy Riddle, Eric Riddle and his wife Toni, Henry Riddle and his wife Kristy, Lisa Riddle, David Riddle, Nichole Riddle, Carl Lee Johnson and Nicholas Riddle; seven great grandchildren, Whittney Riddle, Austin Riddle, Lebron Riddle, Rayleigh Riddle, Markeeta Scalf, Rein Riddle and Deven Riddle. The family of Mrs. Elizabeth Evelyn Riddle will receive friends from 6 to 8 PM Thursday, September 11, 2014, in the Morris-Baker South Chapel. The funeral service will follow in the South Chapel. The graveside committal service will be conducted at 12 PM Friday, in the Washington County Memory Gardens. Active pallbearers will be selected from family and friends. Family and friends are requested to meet at the funeral home by 11:15 AM Friday, to go in procession to the cemetery.
