Elizabeth Gray Mays,90, of 3600 Mountain Road, Glen Allen, VA died Wednesday, December 12,2007 in the Elizabeth Adam Crump Manor in Glen Allen. Mrs. Mays was a native of Gray, Tennessee and a daughter of the late James P. and Nancy Hall Gray. She was preceded in death by her husband of over 50 years, Fred C. Mays and daughter Nancy Lemon of Chesapeake and daughter-in-law Jean Mays of Glen Allen; and three brothers, Ralph Gray, Niles Gray and Howard Gray of Gray, TN. She was a longtime member of Rosalind Hills Baptist Church in Roanoke, VA and South Norfolk Baptist Church in Chesapeake, VA. Survivors include her son, James T. Mays of Glen Allen; a son-in-law, Robert A. Lemon of Lynchburg; two granddaughters and their husbands, Beth Lemon Fogelgren and Mark Fogelgren of Virginia Beach and Carly Mays Murphey and Rusty Murphey of Richmond; two grandsons and their wives, Robert A. Lemon Jr. and Tamara Lemon of Lynchburg and James T. Mays Jr. and Kim Mays of Roanoke, Va.; six great-grandchildren; a brother and sister-in-law Robert Gray and Bonnie Gray of Gray, TN; and many nephews and nieces. The funeral service for Elizabeth Gray Mays will be conducted at 11 AM Monday, December 17, 2007 in the Chapel Mausoleum At Washington County Memory Gardens in Johnson City, TN. Rev. Ramon Torres will officiate. The family will receive friends from 10 to 11 AM Monday in the mausoleum chapel prior to the service. Active pallbearers will be: Johnny Gray, Richard Gray, Eddie Gray, John Arney, Roger Kennedy, Jay Matherly, Tom Mays, Rusty Murphey, Mark Fogelgren and Robert Lemon. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to the Mount Vernon Baptist Church Building Fund, 11220 Nuckols Road, Glen Allen, VA 23059
