Elizabeth Ffolliott Swoyer '' died February 15, 2008, at age 97 at Appalachian Christian Village. She was born in 1910 in Everett, Washington, a daughter of the late Frederick Kerr Ffolliott and Ella Lyons Harvie Ffolliott. She moved with her family to Johnson City, Tennessee, in 1917 where she has continued to live until her death. She was predeceased by her husband, the late William Trevor Swoyer, Jr., and is survived by her four children: Winifred Swoyer Phyfe, Trevor Ffolliott Swoyer, Elizabeth Swoyer Rahilly and Diana Swoyer; a son-in-law, James Duncan Phyfe; four grandchildren: Trevor Swoyer Herrick, Robin Ffolliott Herrick Tesoro, William Schaff Rahilly and Katharine Ffolliott Rahilly; a grandson-in-law, Michael Richard Tesoro, Jr.; two step-grandchildren, Gaelen Phyfe Adam and James Duncan Phyfe, III; and one great-granddaughter: Francesca Ffolliott Tesoro. She is also survived by her brother, Peter Harvie Ffolliott, of Boca Grande Florida and many nieces and nephews. She was educated at Emma Willard School, Wheelock College, Boston University and Smith College, and then taught at Smith College. She was a member of St. Johns Episcopal Church, the Johnson City Country Club and the Fortnightly Club. She established the Johnson City Senior Citizens Center in 1962, and started The Humanities Seminar for Johnson City High School Students, the Art Train, and was on the Board of The James Agee Project. A funeral service is scheduled for Wednesday, February 20, 2008 at the St. Johns Episcopal Church at 2:00 p.m. with Father Hal Hutchison and Dr. Barry Burns presiding. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, February 19, 2008 at the Morris '' Baker Funeral Home from 7:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. A committal service will be conducted in the Monte Vista Memorial Park on Wednesday following the funeral service at 3:00 p.m. Active pallbearers will be: Will Rahilly, Michael Tesoro, Trevor Herrick, Carl Bitter, Miles Elmore and Steve Bitter; honorary pallbearer will be: Charles P.
