Ella Earleen Wilcox

Ella Earleen Wilcox, 74, 2215 Midway Street, Johnson City, died Saturday, August 9, 2008 at her residence. Mrs. Wilcox was a native of Butler, Tn. who had lived most of her life in Johnson City. She was the daughter of the late Ottie and Lucille Burton Presnell. In addition to her parents her husband, Charles Wilcox in 2001; one son-in-law, Robert Arnett, also preceded her in death. Mrs. Wilcox was a CNA and attended Wayside Baptist Church. Survivors include: two daughters, Judy Arnett of Johnson City and Debra Wilcox Thompson and her husband Ken of Boones Creek; one brother, Larry Presnell and his wife Pat of Johnson City; five grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. The funeral service for Ella Earleen Wilcox will be conducted at 8 PM Monday, August 11, 2008 in the Morris-Baker South Chapel. Pastor Donnie Humphrey and Rev. Steve Hilman will officiate. The graveside service will be conducted at 11:30 AM Tuesday in the Monte Vista Memorial Park. Family and friends will meet at the cemetery at 11:15 AM. Active pallbearers will be: Steve Arnett, Rob Arnett, Todd Foister, Roger Sams, Jakie Ferguson and Charlie Hartley. Honorary pallbearers will be: Arnold Hooks, Roger Crain, Dale Presnell and Glenn Presnell. The family will receive friends in the funeral chapel from 6 to 8 PM Monday prior to the service.
