Ella Kate Henley, age 86, 419 Lamont Street, died Friday, July 27, 2007 at Lakbridge Health Care. Mrs. Henley was a native and lifelong resident of Washington County. She was a daughter of the late George N. and Ola Sleiger Branche. Mrs. Henley was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Sevier Henley, one brother, George C. Branche and one sister, Mary Lillian Smith. She was retired from East Tennessee State University. Mrs. Henley was a member of Heritage Baptist Church. The family wishes to express a special thanks to the staff of Lakebridge Health Care. Survivors include one brother, Buddy Branche, Wickliffe, Ohio; a special friend, Dottie Moore, Jonesborough; her caregiver, Lena Lewis, Johnson City and several nieces and nephews. A funeral service for Mrs. Henley will be conducted at 8 PM Saturday, July 28, 2007 from the Morris-Baker Funeral Home North Chapel. Reverend Chris Hughes will officiate. Graveside services will be held at 2 PM Sunday at Roselawn Memorial Park. Family and friends are asked to assemble at the cemetery. He family will receive friends from 6-8 PM Saturday at the funeral home.
