Elmer G. Bradshaw

Elmer G. Bradshaw, 79, of 115 Woodlawn Drive, Johnson City, passed away Friday, January 18, 2008 at the Johnson City Medical Center following a long illness. He was a native of Washington County, son of the late Robert L. and Burlie Hicks Bradshaw. Elmer was a retired bottler and mechanic specialist for the Pepsi Bottling Plant in Johnson City. He loved to play country music on guitar, steel guitar and even the banjo and was an accomplished wrestler and referee. He was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church. Elmer was preceded in death by: his parents; his wife Lillian Adams Bradshaw; a brother, Author Bradshaw; and a sister, Lillian Smith. Survivors include: one brother, Hobart Bradshaw of Johnson City; a sister, Beulah Duvall of Carter County; a special best friend, Venton Shell; and several nieces and nephews. A graveside service is scheduled for Friday, January 25, 2008 at 11 AM at the Roselawn Memorial Gardens. Family and friends are asked to assemble at the cemetery. The family will receive friends at Morris''Baker on Thursday, January 24, 2008 from 3 to 4 PM. The family would like to offer special thanks to: his best friend, Venton Shell; the Lakebridge Health Care Center; and the Johnson City Medical Center.
