Ernest Junior Heaton

Ernest Junior Heaton, 51, Elizabethton, died Friday, September 7, 2007 at the James H. Quillen Veterans Affairs Medical Center. Mr. Heaton was an Adrian, Michigan native and had lived in Elizabethton for the past several years. He was a son of Ernest Heaton, Sr. and Georgia Heaton, Elizabethton. Mr. Heaton was a construction worker. He was a member of Zion Baptist Church. Survivors in addition to his parents, include two sons, Melvin Jack Heaton and Jeremy Heaton, Stoney Creek; and one sister, Debbie Rice, Johnson City. A military graveside service for Mr. Heaton will be held at 1 PM Thursday, September 13, 2007 at Mountain Home National Cemetery, Mountain Home, TN. A VFW chaplain will officiate. The family will receive friends from 11:30AM until 12:30 PM Thursday at the funeral home.
