Ernest Monroe Brewer, age 79, of Johnson City, died June 8, 2020 at his home.
He was born June 17, 1940 in Washington County to the late Charlie Brewer and Thelma Freeman.
Ernest worked for Ferguson Transfer in Johnson City for many years. In his free time, he loved to play softball.
In addition to his parents, Ernest was preceded in death by his brothers, Roger, George Neil, and Vernon; and sisters, Sue and Mae.
Ernest is survived by his brother, Charlie Brewer; sisters, Katie Pearmen, Delores Evans, and Melissa Brewer; sister-in-law, Mary Brewer Milhorn; and several nieces and nephews.
Ernest’s family will receive friends from 4:30-6:00 pm on Monday, July 6, 2020 at Morris-Baker Funeral Home. There will be a funeral service immediately following, at 6:00 pm, under the direction of Rev. Nathan Jennings. There will be a committal service at 11:00 am on Tuesday, July 7, 2020 at Fairview Cemetery (878 TN-81, Jonesborough, TN 37659).
