Estelle Henry

Mrs. Estelle Henry, age 76, passed away peacefully in her sleep in the presence of her loving family on Monday, July 17, 2006, after a lengthy illness. Mrs. Henry was a native and lifelong resident of Johnson City and a member of the First Presbyterian Church. She was a faithful wife and devoted mother who will be especially remembered for her enduring love and commitment to her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Through her great acts of kindness and thoughtfulness, she will be fondly remembered by family and friends for always reminding them that someone cares. She was a blessing to all who knew and loved her and she will be deeply missed. In addition to her parents, Samuel H. Tucker and Roberta Loveless Tucker, Mrs. Henry is preceded in death by her husband, Robert E. Henry, Sr., one brother, Arlen Tucker, one sister, Wanda Berry, one step-brother, Jack Glover, and one grandson, Christopher Ryan Cox. Survivors include two daughters, Kay Henry Hale and husband Darrell, and Katherine A. Henry, two sons, Robert E. Henry, Jr. and David S. Henry, grandchildren Austin Andrew Henry, Robert Aaron Cox and wife, Kelly, and great-grandson, Marshall Aaron Cox, three step-grandchildren, James R. Hale, Charles A. Hale, and Lorrie E. Hale, one sister, Norma Lambert, one half-sister, Gail Caldwell, several nieces and nephews and a number of friends. Private family funeral services for Mrs. Henry will be conducted Thursday, July 20, 2006. Rev. Don Muncie will officiate. Entombment will follow in the Chapel Mausoleum at Monte Vista Memorial Park. Active pallbearers will be Eddie Henry III, Bradley Henry, Chad Henry, Martin Henry, Dan Berry and David Berry. Honorary pallbearers are Mickey Jilton, 'Bo' Austin, Vince Williams, John Castle, Gary Henry, David Stover, Jr., and Pastor Mike Stover.
