Estelle McKinney, 91, of Johnson City, died Sunday, July 21, 2013, at the Christian Care Center of Johnson City. Mrs. McKinney was a Relief, NC native who had lived in the Johnson City for most of her life. She was the daughter of the late Pink and Emma Hughes Webb. She was a member of Keystone Freewill Baptist Church. Mrs. McKinney retired after many years of service as a nurses assistant at the Johnson City Medical Center. In addition to her parents, Mrs. McKinney was preceded in death by: her husband, Kermit W. McKinney; daughter, Connie Laws; and brothers, Thurman and Lester Webb. Survivors include: son, Ronald Arp, and his wife Sue, Elizabethton; granddaughter, Angie Sheehan, and her husband Chris, Dillon, CO; great grandchildren, Spencer and Syndey Sheehan, Dillon, CO; son-in-law, Charles Laws, Johnson City; and special friend, Betty Scalf. A graveside service for Estelle McKinney will be conducted 10:00 AM Tuesday, July 23, 2013 at Monte Vista Memorial Park. Pastor Terry Jones will officiate. Pallbearers will be deacons and friends of Keystone Freewill Baptist Church. Family and friends are asked to gather at the cemetery by 9:50 AM Tuesday for those services.
