Esther Gertrude Trivette

Esther G. Trivette, 88, of 1700 Sherri Hill Road, Johnson City, passed away at her residence on Sunday, October 4, 2009.She was a native of McClure, VA and a daughter of the late, Ed and Pearl Mae Hurt Oaks. She was also preceded in death by her husband, T. A. Trivette, Sr., one daughter, Ruby Barnett, two sisters, Alice Collins and Edith Trivette, two brothers, Raynear Oaks and Raymond Oaks. Mrs. Trivette attended the Day of Deliverance Revival Center.Survivors include; three sons, J. R. Trivette and his wife Kathryn and James Trivette all of Johnson City and Joseph Trivette and his wife, Patsy of Piney Flats; two daughters, Helen Campbell and her husband Rick and Louella Jackson and her husband Garey all of Johnson City; two brothers, James Oaks and Charles Oaks both of Johnson City.Funeral services will be conducted from the Morris-Baker South Chapel on Tuesday, October 6, 2009 at 8:00 pm. Rev. Dewey Ward will officiate. Burial services will be held on Wednesday at 1:30 pm from the Monte Vista Memorial Park. Active pallbearers will be Thomas Cash, Chuck Campbell, Terry Campbell, Jackie Trivette, Jr. Higgins, Jeff Jackson and Rodney Trivette. The family and friends will meet at the funeral home by 1:15 pm on Wednesday and proceed to the cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6:00 until 8:00 pm on Tuesday.
