Eula Margaret Howell

Eula Margaret Howell, formerly of Cambridge Avenue, Johnson City, passed away on Thursday, October 2, 2008 in the Christian Care Center of Johnson City. She was a daughter of the late, James and Liza Greenwell Eggers. Mrs. Howell was also preceded by her husband, Elmer C. Howell, four sisters, Myra Hodges, Addie White, Dove Rowe and Mary Ludwell, three brothers, Lawrence, Lym and Harvey Eggers. Mrs. Howell was born in Carter County but had lived in Johnson City since 1950. Mrs. Howell had worked for a number of years at the Nettie Lee Shop. She was a member of Clark Street Baptist Church. Survivors include ; three sons, Richard Howell of Cummings,GA, Sammy Wayne Howell of Johnson City and Thomas E. Howell of Dallas, TX; six grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Graveside services will be conducted at 11:00 am Monday from Roselawn Memorial Park. Rev. William Lunsford will officiate. Entombment will follow the service. In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial contributions be made to Clark Street Baptist Church, 200 Clark Street, Johnson City, TN 37604.The family expresses a special thanks to Gerri Thompkins and the staff at Christian Care Center.
