Eunice Morgan Cooper, 90, of Johnson City, died Thursday, December 18, 2014 at Broadmore Assisted Living Center. She was born in Albany, GA and was the daughter of the late Robert and Mary Morgan. Eunice was a homemaker and mother of four who focused her time on volunteer Little League, school, and community organizations, usually associated with her family and friends. She was an avid golfer and bridge player. She was happiest when she was with her family and her dear friends. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Kathy Cooper Newberry, and her husband, Clyde Murray Cooper. Survivors include: three sons and daughters-in-law, Rick Cooper and Melanie Blackley, of Charlotte, NC, Mark and Christine Cooper, of Glenview, IL, and Bob and Betty B. Cooper, of Johnson City; four grandchildren, Rob Cooper, Mary Robertson, Christopher Cooper, and Alexander Cooper; and eleven great grandchildren. The family of Eunice Morgan Cooper will receive friends from 9:30 am until 11 am Monday, December 22, 2014 in the Morris-Baker Dogwood Chapel. The memorial service will follow in the chapel at 11 am Monday. A private committal service will be held at a later date.
