Eva Conner Tester, 98, Johnson City, passed away Tuesday, January 9, 2018, at Cornerstone Village, where she has lived for the passed 17 years, one day before her 99th birthday. Eva was born on January 10, 1919, in Washington County to the late Charlie and Nannie Hardy Conner. Eva previously resided in Piney Flats. She was a member of St. Paul United Methodist Church of Piney Flats, where she served on the Church Board for many years. Eva was also a member of the UMW Association for many years. In addition to her parents, Eva was preceded in death by: her husband, Raymond E. Tester; one son, Jerry G. Tester; six brothers; and three sisters. Survivors include: two daughters, Anna Ruth Wood and Edna June Myatt, both of Johnson City; several grandchildren and great grandchildren; one sister, Helen Sheets, of Cleveland, OH; and one brother, Charles Conner, of Davenport, IA. Eva?s family would like to give a special thank you to the nursing staff and caregivers at Cornerstone Village for their outstanding care. The family of Eva Tester will receive friends from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM Friday, January 12, 2018 at Morris-Baker Funeral Home. Pallbearers will be selected from family and friends. A committal service will follow at 3:00 PM at St. Paul United Methodist Church Cemetery with Rev. Bryon Orchard officiating. Family and friends may visit the home, 812 Xanadu Ct., Johnson City, anytime. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Paul United Methodist Church, 1655 Allison Rd., Piney Flats, TN 37686.
