Eva Carolyn Curtis

March 29, 1940 — July 5, 2008

Carolyn M. Curtis, 68, of 472 Tavern Hill Road, Jonesborough, died Saturday, July 5, 2008 at the Johnson City Medical Center. She was a native of Bristol, Virginia, daughter of the late Clarence Alexander and Eva Akers Malcolm. Carolyn was a former employee of TPI and was of the Christian faith. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, James C. 'Bobby'? Dishner, a sister, Dorothy Mumpower, two brothers, Fred A. and Paul I. Malcolm, a step-brother, Farris Malcolm and her adoptive parents, Clinton and Carrie Malcolm. Survivors include: her two daughters, Lisa C. Faulkner and Amy C. Dishner both of Jonesborough; three brothers, Harold C. Malcolm of Bristol, TN; Bill R. and Jim C. Malcolm both of Bristol, Virginia; several nieces and nephews; and her beloved pets. A memorial service will be conducted on Saturday, July 12, 2008, at 2:00 p.m. at the Gospel Light Tabernacle, under the direction of Rev. David Nunley and Rev. Daniel Nunley. The family will be available to receive friends at 1:00 p.m. until time of service and following the service. Memorials may be made in the form of contributions to the American Diabetes Association, P.O. Box 2680, N. Canton, OH 44720 or the Johnson City '' Washington County Animal Shelter, 525 Sells Avenue, Johnson City, TN 37604.
