Evelyn Crowe

Mrs. Evelyn Crowe, age 81, of Johnson City, went home to be with the Lord Tuesday, May 7, 2013, at her residence. Mrs. Crowe was a native and lifelong resident of Washington County. She was the daughter of the late Emma Forbes. In addition to her mother her husband Carl F. Crowe also preceded her in death. Mrs. Crowe was a homemaker and a member of the Boone Trail Baptist Church. Survivors include one son, Jeffrey Crowe and his wife Tammy; one daughter, Janice Olinger and her husband Jim; three granddaughters, Amy Holmes and her husband Jamie, Kaitlyn Crowe and Ashlyn Crowe. In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorial contributions be made to the Boone Trail Baptist Church Disaster Relief Fund, 1985 Carrol Creek Road, Johnson City, TN 37615. The funeral service for Mrs. Evelyn Crowe will be conducted at 8 PM Thursday, May 9, 2013, in the Morris-Baker South Chapel. Pastor Wayne Bledsoe will officiate. The graveside committal service will be conducted at 11 AM Friday in the Washington County Memory Gardens. Active pallbearers will be Pat McQueen, Oris Francis, Tom Francis, Franklin Sell, Terry Ford and Charles Hitchcock. Honorary pallbearers will be the Adult One Sunday School Class at Boone Trail Baptist Church, Dr. and Mrs. James Evans, Dr. Mary Jane Gibson, Don Dwyer and Bill Sell. Minister, family and friends are requested to meet at Morris-Baker by 10:30 AM Friday to go in procession to the cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 PM Thursday prior to the service.
