Fannie Mae Dunbar Oler

Fannie Mae Dunbar Oler, 87, of 1605 E. Fairview Avenue, Johnson City died Tuesday, August 26, 2008 at her residence. Mrs. Oler was a native of Morristown and had lived in Johnson City since 1925. She was a daughter of the late Frank J. and Addie Mae LeRoy Manis. Mrs. Oler was a member of the Piney Grove FWB Church. She was a retired aide with the Department of Human Services. Mrs. Oler is preceded in death by: her parents; her first husband, Luther Dunbar in 1953; her second husband, Albert Hodge; a son, Robert Wayne Dunbar; and a brother, Frank Manis, Jr. Her survivors include: one daughter, Betty Ann Arowood of Kingsport; a son, Bill Dunbar of Johnson City; eight grandchildren, Billy Dunbar, Jr, Karen Dunbar, Michael Dunbar, Kim Raymond, Ralph 'Eddie'? Dyer, Jimmy Dyer, Wanda Robinson, and Tim Dyer; thirteen great grandchildren; and two great great grandchildren also survive. The funeral service for Fannie Mae Dunbar Oler will be conducted at 8 PM Friday, August 29, 2008 in the Morris-Baker North Chapel. Her pastor, Rev. Paul Crowe will officiate. The committal service will be conducted at 10 AM Saturday in the Monte Vista Memorial Park. Everyone will meet at Morris-Baker at 9:30 AM Saturday to go to the cemetery. Active pallbearers will be grandsons, Billy Dunbar, Jr., Scott Raymond, Michael Dunbar, Ralph 'Eddie Dyer, Jimmy Dyer, Tim Dyer and Ross Dyer. An Honorary Pallbearer and Special Friend is Mrs. Cecelia Wilcox. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 PM Friday at Morris-Baker North Chapel.
