Faye Delores Duncan

Faye 'Delores'? Duncan, 73, of Johnson City, died Saturday, May 4, 2013 at her residence. She was a native of Johnson City, daughter of the late William Creed and Alice Pickle Laws. Delores was a retired claims adjustor for the Tennessee Department of Unemployment. She was a 'Charter Member'? of the Lynnwood Christian Church and served as pianist for many years as well. In addition to her parents her husband, Tony R. Duncan, Sr. in 2003; a sister, Margaret Caldwell; a special uncle, Arthur Laws and niece, Ann Caldwell, preceded her in death. Mrs. Duncan was a member of the Nolachuckey-Grandview Chapter of the Order of Eastern Star #194, a loyal ministers wife who loved being with her family and working in her yard. Survivors include: her son, Tony R. Duncan, Jr.; her daughter and son-in-law, Pam and Mark Banks; a sister, Mildred Cross; a grandson, Caleb Banks; a granddaughter and her husband, Hannah and David Johnson, all of Johnson City; several nieces and nephews; special nieces, Tammy Harris, Kathy Martin, Nikki Belcher, Kristen Crawford, Amanda and Wendy Caldwell and Isabella Johnson; special nephews, Rick Caldwell, Henry Martin, Maverick Harris and Carsen Crawford; her special pet, Sasha. A funeral service is scheduled for Wednesday, May 8, 2013 at 8:00 pm at the Lynnwood Christian Church under the direction of her son Tony Duncan, Jr., Bill Manuel and Claude Duncan. The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm until time of service at 8:00 pm. A committal service will be conducted on Thursday, May 9, 2013 at the Monte Vista Memorial Park at 11:00 am. Active pallbearers will be: Caleb Banks, David Johnson, Henry, Bub and Roy Martin, Rick Caldwell; honorary pallbearers will be: Dale Caldwell and the Board of Lynnwood Christian Church. Family and friends are asked to assemble at the Morris '? Baker Funeral Home to leave in procession by 10:40 am. Memorials may be made to: the Lynnwood Christian Church Memorial Fund, 2755 Watauga Road, Johnson City, TN 37601.
