Florence Jeanette Honeycutt

October 28, 1933 — September 25, 2008

Jeanette Honeycutt, 74, of Johnson City, died Thursday, September 25, 2008 at the Johnson City Medical Center. She was a native of Mitchell County, North Carolina a daughter of the late Dave and Mary Wilcox Honeycutt. Jeanette was a florist for many years and loved her cats. She attended the Clifton View Baptist Church and was a member of the Johnson City VFW Post 2108 Ladies Auxiliary. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Jack, Floyd and Claude Honeycutt and four sisters, Edith Coffee, Wavine Caldwell, Eunice Smith and Betty Honeycutt. Survivors are nieces, nephews and their spouses, including: Brenda Hammons, Geraldine 'Geri'? Hinkle, Phyllis Taylor, Jackie Hyder, Sharon Scott, D. B. Honeycutt, Earl Honeycutt, Jackie Honeycutt, Linda S. Honeycutt, Ruth Ann Linsey, Johnny Smith, Patsy Bowers, Peggy Rowland, Earlene Wheeler, Bobby Coffee, Barbara Sue Hopson, Claudette Bennett, Peggy McKinney, Mary Lou Coffee and Joel Honeycutt; dear friends, Vickie Combs, Beth Chisolm, Clara Dunbar, Mary Messer and Sue Mays. A funeral service is scheduled for Sunday, September 28, 2008 at 8:00 p.m. in the South Chapel of the Morris '' Baker Funeral Home, under the direction of Rev. Claude Babb. The family will be receiving friends from 6:00 p.m. until time of service at eight. A committal service will be conducted on Monday, September 29, 2008 at 1:00 p.m. in the Washington County Memory Gardens. Family and friends are asked to meet at the cemetery. Memorials may be made in the form of contributions to the Johnson City/ Washington County Humane Society, 525 Sells Avenue, Johnson City, TN 37604. The family would like to thank the Johnson City Medical Center staff.
