Floyd Arthur Cozad

Floyd Arthur 'F.A.'? Cozad, 79, Johnson City, died Tuesday, November 16, 2009 at Erwin Health Care Center. Mr. Cozad was a native and lifelong resident of Washington County. He was a son of the late Floyd Benjamin and Olive Gertrude Wright Cozad. Mr. Cozad was preceded in death by his wife of 54 years, Lissie Cozad, in 2009, one sister, Carolyn Henderson and two brothers, Bob and Eldon Cozad. He was retired from Summers-Taylor Construction Paving after 49 years of employment. Mr. Cozad was a member of King Springs Baptist Church. Survivors include one daughter, Patricia Jones, Jonesborough; sisters, Joan Crawford, Johnson City, Patsy Blevins, Jonesborough, Lynda Wynn, Jonesborough, Ruthie Hollifield, Johnson City and Eunice Owens, Jonesborough; brothers, Olan Cozad, Laurel MS and Russell Cozad, Elizabethton and several nieces and nephews including special nieces, Mary Ellen Kollar, Poland, Ohio and Tammy Shaffer, Bluff City, TN. A graveside service for Mr. Cozad will be held at 2:30 pm Thursday, November 19, 2009 at Roselawn Memorial Park. Mr. Shelton Lewis will officiate. Pallbearers will be selected from family and friends. The family will receive friends from 1:00-2:00 pm Thursday at the funeral home.
