Floyd Haws, Sr.

Floyd Haws, Sr., age 92, of Johnson City passed away Tuesday, January 22, 2019 at Cornerstone Village in Johnson City. Born the son of the late George Haws and Mary Morrison, he was a lifelong resident of Washington County. Floyd was a past member of the Johnson City Masonic Lodge and Munsey Memorial United Methodist Church. He retired from Food City in 2003 and was an WWII Veteran who served in the U. S. Army. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Floyd Haws, Jr.; and a daughter, Susan Y. Haws, a brother and a sister. He is survived by a daughter, Cheryl Haws and his beloved cat Tap. There will be a graveside service held at 11:00 am on Tuesday, January 29, 2019 at Monte Vista Memorial Park, those wishing to attend should arrive by 10:50 am. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in honor of Floyd to the Washington County-Johnson City Animal Shelter, 3411 N Roan St, Johnson City, TN 37604.
