Ford Henry Peterson

Ford Henry Peterson, 88, Jonesborough, died Sunday, December 9, 2012, at his residence. He was a Mitchell County, NC native, and a son of the late Ira V. and Dorothy Bryant Peterson. Mr. Peterson lived most of this life in the Jonesborough area. He was the former owner of Peterson TV Sales and Service. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by: one son, Gregory Peterson, three brothers, and two sisters. Survivors include: his wife, Barbara Hughes Peterson, of the home; four daughters, Judee Silver, and her husband, Bill, Carrollton, TX, Sumitra Peterson, Baja, CA/Mexico, Janie Jarvis, Kingsport, TN, and Crystal Peterson, and her fiancé, Todd Love, Naples, FL; two sisters, Kate McKinney, Telford, and Elizabeth Sue Hoilman, Jonesborough; twelve grandchildren, Ric, Russ, and Chad Brummette, Shantan Peterson, Vick, Tyler, and Hannah Brooks, Elsa, John, and Isaac Peterson, and Jenna and Travis Newton; two great-grandchildren, Evan and Zachary Brummette; a special niece, Cindy Martin; a special great nephew and caregiver, Jeremy Gentry; and several nieces and nephews. A memorial service for Mr. Peterson will be conducted Saturday, December 15, 2012 in the Morris-Baker South Chapel. Mr. Bill Burrows, Minister will officiate. The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the memorial service at the funeral home.
