Mrs. Frances G. Mashburn, 87, 800 Harding Avenue, Johnson City, died Thursday, April 16, 2009 in the Johnson City Medical Center. Mrs. Mashburn was a native of Carter County who had lived most of her life in Johnson City. She was the daughter of the late Blaine and Betty Vance Hurley. In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by her husband, Joe Mashburn; several brothers and sisters. Mrs. Mashburn was a homemaker and of the Baptist faith. Survivors include: one daughter, Diane Foster and her husband Bobby of Johnson City; one brother, Jack Hurley and his wife Edith of Cleveland, Ohio; one sister, Cleo Rosenbaum of Jonesborough; one grandson, William 'Buzzy'? Foster and his fiancé April Bingham of Johnson City; one great granddaughter, Samantha Paige Foster of Johnson City. The graveside service for Mrs. Frances G. Mashburn will be conducted at 11 AM Saturday April 18, 2009 in the Vincent Cemetery, Jonesborough community. Rev. Mike Pelham will officiate. Active pallbearers will be selected from family and friends. Minister, family and friends are requested to meet at the cemetery by 10:50 AM Saturday.
