Frances Madeline Burleson, 86, of Johnson City, died Saturday, April 21, 2012 at the Erwin Health Care Center. She was a native of Lofton, Virginia, daughter of the late Harry Milton and Elizabeth Pearl Harris Doyle. Frances was a longtime member of the Piney Grove Free Will Baptist Church, where she taught the womens Sunday School Class and was active in the Womens Auxilary. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Maynard D. Mullins in 1946 and her second husband of 42 years, Ted D. Burleson in 1990, an infant son Richard Wayne Mullins, also a brother, Harry Milton Doyle, JR and a grandson, Robbie Burleson. Survivors include: four sons and daughters-in-law, Mickey and Margaret Mullins of West Branch, Michigan, Roger and Phyllis Burleson of Chuckey, Ray and Beth Burleson of Jonesborough and Richard and Tina Burleson of Johnson City; twelve grandchildren and 27 great grandchildren. A funeral service is scheduled for Wednesday, April 25, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. in the South Chapel of the Morris '? Baker Funeral Home, under the direction of Pastor David Reece. A committal service will follow in the Monte Vista Memorial Park. Active pallbearers will be selected from family and friends. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, April 24, 2012 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Piney Grove Free Will Baptist Church, Womens Auxilary, 1004 E. Lakeview Dr., Johnson City, TN 37601.
