Frankie Combs Dugger

Frankie Combs Dugger, age 92, of Johnson City, passed away on Friday, January 7, 2011 in the Christian Care Center of Johnson City. She was born in Greene County, Tennessee, a daughter of the late Elmer Combs and Belle Hart Combs. She was a charter member of Princeton Presbyterian Church. Mrs. Dugger was a sales clerk for Kings Department Store and many will remember her from the ladies department in the basement where she worked for many years. Mrs. Dugger was preceded in death by her husband of 20 years, Willard Dugger in 1967 and three sisters, Marie Clyburn, Betty Combs and Isabel Roberts. She is survived by two step sons and their wives, Bob Dugger and wife Irma, of Blountville, TN and Willard A. Dugger and wife Margarett, of Johnson City; one aunt, Ella Clyburn, of Johnson City; two special cousins, Louise McKinney, of Johnson City and Kathleen Armitage, of Greeneville, TN; and several cousins, nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends Wednesday afternoon, January 12, 2011 from 1:00 pm until 2:00 pm in the Morris-Baker Funeral Home South Chapel. The funeral service will follow at 2:00 pm with Dr. J. Andrew White officiating. Burial will follow in the Monte Vista Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be family and friends. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to Princeton Presbyterian Church, 2703 E. Oakland Avenue, Johnson City, TN 37601 or to Child Evangelism Fellowship of Johnson City, 908 Chase Drive #1B, Johnson City, TN 37604.
