Frankie Jackie Honeycutt Ricker

July 17, 1941 — July 14, 2016

Mrs. Frankie Jackie Honeycutt Ricker, born July 17th, 1941, went to her heavenly home on July 14, 2016. She was the precious daughter of Paul and Juanita Honeycutt. A 1959 graduate of Happy Valley High School, she went on to graduate from Steed College. She married Don Ricker and was blessed with her greatest loves, her children. She was retired from Johnson City Schools. She had been a Sunday School, VBS, and Child Evangelism Fellowship teacher, leading Good News Clubs in Johnson City. She had been a member of various churches in Tennessee, but was currently a member of Crosspoint and the Devoted Ladies Bible Study, since moving to Alabama in 2014. She would light any room with her laughter and had the sweetest heart. She never met a stranger and loved everyone. She shared her love of Jesus everywhere she went. She never complained about her suffering. She had been a caregiver to her mother-in-law, husband, and her own mother. She will be forever missed. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, brother and a son. Survivors include her daughter, Lisa Hunter (Mike) Trussville, Alabama; son Ric (Connie) Ricker, Georgetown, Texas; her precious grandchildren, Brock Crowder, Meredith and Michaela Hunter; brothers, Mike (Pat) Honeycutt, Larry (Sue) Honeycutt; beloved sisters-in-law, Wynn Ann Honeycutt and Freda (Jack) Wilhoit; many nieces, nephews, and her best friend, Shelby Head. 'My chains are gone, Ive been set free.' Special thanks to the staff at Sunrise Ridge Assisted Living for their love and care. The family of Frankie Jackie Honeycutt Ricker will receive friends from 5 to 7 PM Saturday, July 16, 2016, in the Morris-Baker Funeral Home.
