Freda Mae Church

June 9, 1947 — September 1, 2013

Freda M. Church, 66, joined her Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ on Sunday, September 1, 2013, after years of bearing serious illness with exquisite grace. She passed peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family. She was born on June 9, 1947, in Watauga, Tennessee to the late Roby 'Fred'? Feathers and Ruth Hoback Feathers. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of nearly forty years, Joe Lee Church, and her beautiful daughter Angela Rachelle Church, who are undoubtedly glad to have their loving wife and mother once again by their side. Freda will forever be remembered for her kind and generous heart which she shared freely with all who knew her. She was a devoted and loving wife, mother, and grandmother who tirelessly spent her life caring for her family and friends. She only saw the best in everyone and was the best friend of many. She lived and loved deeply. She was a beautiful lady inside and out and will be greatly missed by the many lives and souls she touched in countless ways. She was a member of Johnson City Freewill Baptist Church, as well as a supporter of Believers Church in Gray, Tennessee. Freda is survived by her two daughters: Lisa Church Daniel and husband, Toliver Charles Daniel, and Tammy Church McGill and husband, Charles Mark McGill; grandchildren: Lindsay Daniel, John Daniel, Lauren McGill, Kendall McGill, Andy Humphrey, and Megan Humphrey; and one great grandchild: Macie Strouth; one sister: Patricia Humphreys and husband, Eddie of Elizabethton, TN; two brothers: Justin Allen Feathers and wife, Kathy of Elizabethton, TN, and Kenneth Feathers of Shawnee Mission, KS; as well as many special nieces, nephews, and brothers and sisters in law.
