Gary Eugene Aesque

Gary Eugene Aesque, 67, of 2740 West G Street, Elizabethton, died Tuesday, November 4, 2008 at the Charles George VA Medical Center, Asheville, North Carolina. He was a native of Kingsport, Tennessee but had lived most of his life in Elizabethton, a son of the late John Henry Aesque and Ann Elizabetht Boyd Guy. Gary was a longtime employee at the Browns Mill Amoco and later retired from delivering parts for NAPA Auto Parts. Gary was of the Baptist faith. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Tommie Sue Aesque in 2005 and two sisters, Gail Woods and Patricia Ann Hughes. Survivors include: two daughters and sons-in-law, Gina and Kenneth Church of Johnson City, Amy Sue and Martin Lyons of Blountville; a son and daughter-in-law, Todd and Penny Aesque of Greene County; two grandsons, Wesley and Chase Church of Johnson City; a granddaughter, Megan Lyons of Blountville; several nieces and nephews. A committal service will be conducted on Monday, November 10, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. in the Mountain Home National Cemetery under the direction of a VA Chaplain. Both Gary and his wife Tommie Sue Roark Aesque, who passed away in 2005, will be buried at this time.
