Gary Scott Carr, “Blue” age 60, of Piney Flats, Tennessee went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, October 18, 2020.
Gary was born February 24, 1960 in Sullivan County, Tennessee to Haynes and Margaret Depew Carr.
He graduated from Sullivan East High School in 1979. Gary was a jack of many trades and his last job was with Johnson City Iron and Metal, which he retired from in 2008.
Gary was of the Christian faith and he attended services at Oakland Avenue Baptist Church in Johnson City, Tennessee.
Gary enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He was a loving father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, and a good friend to many. His friends and family would all say that Gary lived his life to the fullest.
Those who preceded him in death include his mother, Margaret Carr; sister, Connie Carr; and his lifelong friend, Joe Moore.
Gary is survived by his father, Haynes Carr; children: Gaye (and Larry) Williams of Johnson City, and their daughters Courtney (and Kyle Ambercrombie), Kaylee Williams, Shane (and Ashley) Bardo of Nescopeck, Pennsylvania, and their children, Mackenzie, Landon, Isabella, and Shalynn; Jessica (and Travis) Parker of Denver, North Carolina, and their children, Dixie, Travis Jr., and Waylon; and Gary Carr, Jr. of Johnson City, and his children, Lea, Austin, Nevaeh, and Dayton; a great-granddaughter, Melonie; brothers, Steve (and Debbie) Carr, Jeff (and Sandy) Carr, Randy (and Brenda) Carr; Lifelong friends Donnie Corby, Theresa Hodge. Michelle Bardo, and many nieces, nephews and other extended family and friends.
There will be a graveside service at 11:00 am, Saturday, October 24, 2020 at Lovelace Baptist Church Cemetery (987 Ryan Rd, Fall Branch, TN 37656). Please meet at the cemetery by 10:50 am. Pallbearers include Gary Carr, Shane Bardo, Larry Williams, Brandon Carr, Steve Carr, and Jeff Carr. The graveside service will be uploaded to the Morris-Baker website, under Gary’s obituary page, by the end of the weekend.
