Gay Carr

Gay Carr, 81, 100 Stalling Lane, Erwin passed away Wednesday, January 19, 2011 in the Erwin Health Care Center. Miss Carr was a native of Wayne County, West Virginia who had lived most of her life in Johnson City. She was the daughter of the late Ronald G. Ratliff and Helen Montgomery Ratliff. In addition to her parents two sisters, Mary Matney and Anna Dales also preceded her in death. Miss Carr was a homemaker and a member of Central Church of Christ. Survivors include: two adult daughters; two sisters, Janice F. Perry and Ramona Ballard; one brother, Ronald G. Ratliff; special caregiver, Loretta Bowman and her husband Mack. The family would like to express a special thank you to her extended family at Erwin Health Care Center. A graveside service for Gay Carr will be conducted at 2:15 PM Monday, January 24, 2011 in the Monte Vista Memorial Park. Tim Hall, Minister will officiate. Active pallbearers will be selected from family and friends. The family will receive friends from 1 to 2 PM Monday prior to the service.
