Geieve Jean Lett

Genieve 'Jean' Lett, 85, 810 Briarcliff Road, Johnson City, died Thursday, January 4, 2007 in the Johnson City Medical Center. Ms. Lett was a native of Helvey, Nebraska and had lived most her life in Johnson City. She was the daughter of the late William Howard Hayes and Adah Salina Hayes. Ms. Lett was also preceded in death by one sister, Mildred Hayes Hamm. Ms. Lett was a retired LPN and a member of the Southside Baptist Church. Survivors include: one sister, Pauline Hopson, of Johnson City; several nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews also survive. The funeral service for Genieve 'Jean' Lett will be conducted at 8 PM Friday, January 5, 2007 in the Morris-Baker South Chapel. Rev. John Perkins will officiate. The graveside will be conducted at 11 AM Saturday, January 6, 2007 in the Onks Cemetery. Family and friends will meet at the funeral home at 10:15 AM Saturday to go in procession. Active pallbearers will be the Deacons of the Southside Baptist Church. The family will receive friends in the funeral chapel from 6 to 8 PM Friday prior to the service.
