Geneva Newman

Darlene Newman, 57, 121 Stepp Lane, Johnson City, died Saturday, June 24, 2006 at her residence. Mrs. Newman was a native of Canton, Ohio and had lived in Johnson City for the past twenty years. She was a daughter of the late Spurgeon and Betty Bradley Eudy. Mrs. Newman was a Food Service Manager with Aramark for ten years. She is preceded in death by: her parents; one son, P.J. Vandiver; and one great grandson, Jaden Lothridge. Survivors include: her husband, Horace Newman of the home; two daughters, Susan Elliott of Orlando, FL. and Melisa Bishop of Gray, TN; one son, James Christianson, II of the home; one step daughter, Julie Duncan of Jacksonville, FL; ten brothers and sisters; one granddaughter, Stevie Lothridge of Jonesborough; four greatgrandchildren. A memorial service for Darlene Newman will be conducted at 8 PM Wednesday, June 28, 2006 in the Morris-Baker North Chapel. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 PM Wednesday in the funeral chapel prior to the service.
