Genevie 'Jenny'? Marie McLaughlin, 78, of Johnson City, died Thursday, October 20, 2011 at the Johnson City Medical Center. She was a native of Burnsville, North Carolina, daughter of the late Lester Leman and Jessie Street Jamison. Jenny was a member of the First Free Will Baptist Church. She worked as a crossing guard at Keystone Elementary and then Mt. View for 37 years. In addition to her parents, her husband of 55 years, Roy Moody McLaughlin in 2006, a sister Vangie Jamison in 2008 and a brother Bob Jamison preceded her in death in 2009. Survivors include: two sons and a daughter-in-law, Dr. Randy McLaughlin and Barbara of Kingsport and Steven McLaughlin of Johnson City; a sister Athileen Miller of Johnson City; five grandchildren, Lindsay (& Kevin) Lester of Morristown, Travis McLaughlin of Johnson City, Brian McLaughlin of Morristown, Rebecca McLaughlin of Kingsport and Amy McLaughlin of Kingsport; a great granddaughter, Hannah Pippin of Kingsport. A funeral service is scheduled for Sunday, October 23, 2011 at 3:00 p.m. in the North Chapel of the Morris '? Baker Funeral Home under the direction of Rev. Kenneth Grindstaff. The family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. until time of service at three. A committal service will be conducted on Monday, October 24, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. in the Monte Vista Memorial Park. Active pallbearers will be: Travis McLaughlin, Brian McLaughlin and Kevin Lester. Family and friends are asked to assemble at the funeral home to leave in procession by 9:40 a.m.
