Genevieve Jan Hopper

Mrs. Genevieve ?Jan' Hopper, age 88, of Bristol, passed away Wednesday, December 30, 2015, at her home. Genevieve was born in Miami, FL on December 25, 1927, a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. George Albert and Lela Belle Baker. She attended United Methodist Church in Bristol. In addition to her parents, Genevieve was preceded in death by her husband John Albert Jr.; good friend Laurence Tester, and sister Georgia Hensley. Surviving are her daughter Ginger Baker, granddaughter Misty Harrison, grand son-in-law Cameron ?Chip' Harrison, and friend Vance Murray. The family of Mrs. Genevieve ?Jan' Hopper will receive friends from 5 to 7 PM Friday, January 1, 2016, in the Morris-Baker Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow at 7 PM with Pastor Don Umbarger and Rev. Charles Leonard officiating. The graveside committal service will be conducted at 9 AM Saturday, in the Monte Vista Memorial Park. Active pallbearers will be Mike Baker, Neal Follis, Andrew Glover, Chip Harrison, Andy Murray, Tim Murray, and Vance Murray. Honorary pallbearers will be the Aldersgate United Methodist Men, Wade Beverly, Garnett Day, and Don Turner. Ministers, family and friends are requested to meet at Morris-Baker by 8:30 AM Saturday to go in procession to the cemetery.
