George Edward Arnold

George Edward Arnold, age 84, of Johnson City, Tennessee, passed away on Friday, April 10, 2020 at the Johnson City Medical Center.

He was born in Johnson City to the late Worley and Sylvia Waycaster Arnold.

George was a 1954 graduate of Jonesborough High School. He joined the United States Army and was Honorably Discharged in 1958.

George had worked as a delivery driver for Pepsi-Cola and Lance Inc. He enjoyed gardening and listening to blue grass and gospel music.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by four sisters, Ruby Boyles, Betty Snyder, Helen Lane, and Lorraine Parris.

He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Thelma Hughes Arnold; brother-in-law, Glenn Parris; sister-in-law, Phylis Sardi and her husband Bill; and several nieces and nephews.

There will be a private graveside service at Monte Vista Memorial Park. This service will be posted at 1:00 PM on Tuesday, April 14th, 2020, on this page. It will remain active for 90 days.
