George Hugh Bailey, Jr.

George H. Bailey, Jr., 54, Johnson City, died Thursday, August 6, 2009 from injuries received in and automobile accident. Mr. Bailey was a native of Norton, VA and had lived in Johnson City for the past few years. He was a son of the late George H. Bailey, Sr. and Mary Cox Bailey. Mr. Bailey was an employee of Don Hill Pontiac and Rick Hill Imports. He was a former Norton, VA Auxiliary Police Officer and Sgt and ambulance driver with the Norton Rescue Squad. Mr. Bailey attended Lone Oak Christian Church. Survivors include his wife, Brenda Thompson Bailey, one son, Jason Bailey, Johnson City, several nieces and nephews and many friends in Norton, VA and Johnson City. A memorial service for Mr. Bailey will be held at 4 pm Sunday, August 9, 2009 from the Morris-Baker Funeral Home North Chapel. Mr. David A. Roberts, Minister and Mr. Chip Dennison, Minister will officiate. The family will receive friends from 3-4 pm Sunday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, for those who wish, memorials may be made to the family or to your favorite charity.
